Elena has grown immensely in her 8-year career at LG Energy Solution, Michigan (LGESMI). She started her career with the company as an operator in quality assurance and was quickly promoted to  production coordinator. In her current role as a supervisor, she oversees the coordinators on the 5S team. Elena reports out on production and employment numbers, helps floor coordinators with supervision and manages a budget. 

Everything About This Job is My Favorite Thing

“LGESMI was the first place I worked where I actually liked the job,” Elena said, “I stay busy, I’m challenged. My coworkers and I are there for one another and I’m proud of what I do.” Elena said she was initially drawn to the job because of the great benefits, and they’ve only gotten better. “The health insurance is incredible. When you have a health issue, good insurance makes a huge difference.”

Elena also commented on her working environment as a plus to the job. “I’ve never worked in a manufacturing position that was so clean and temperature controlled,” she said.

Opportunity for Everyone

Other than the benefits, Elena loves working at LGESMI because of the growth opportunities within the company. “I’ve never had an opportunity anywhere else to become a supervisor,” Elena said, “They like to watch their own people grow here. Every hard working person has an opportunity to get promoted.” 

Outside of work, Elena loves to crochet, read and spend time with her family.
