Terry is a senior recruiter with the HR group in talent acquisitions at LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. In this role, Terry is responsible for recruiting quality engineers and technicians as well as candidates for the HR group. He spends his days communicating the needs of various departments with hiring managers, discussing jobs with potential candidates and maintaining job postings on job boards. 

Putting the Right People in the Right Roles

“The thing that rewards me is helping people with a different career path find a fulfilling role in a new field, such as lithium-ion technology,” Terry said. His goal is to find the perfect candidate for the role, and a career path that will be perfect for the candidate. 

When asked about what draws candidates into the company, Terry talked about the benefits and the future of the industry. “LG Energy Solution Michigan pays 100% of my healthcare, including dental and vision. Terry spent 15 years in the United States Air Force, and it’s important for him to form a community for veterans at LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. He believes that LGES Michigan is a great company for veterans because of the team oriented atmosphere. “LG Energy Solution Michigan is a company that appreciates the ability to lead and high work ethic; our veterans will fit in very well,” Terry said. He believes veterans will appreciate the integrity of the work and the ability to grow quickly within the company. 

“I’m working on getting to know the veteran community here,” Terry said, “It’s important to find supportive people after your time in the service, and I want to build a community like that at LG Energy Solution Michigan.”

When Terry isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family having barbecues and spending time on the pontoon.
