Allegan County board approves grant funding for proposed LG expansion

The Allegan County board of commissioners signed off on allowing up to $36.5 million in grants to go toward a proposed expansion of an LG Energy Solution plant in Holland.

The board’s unanimous vote, made Thursday during its meeting at the county offices in Allegan, clears a hurdle for the proposed $1.7 billion expansion of LG’s plant on 48th Street.
