HOLLAND, MI, October 11, 2022 – LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. is pleased to announce it will offer 100% company paid health insurance for full-time employees and their eligible dependents, effective January 1, 2023. This means that no funds will be deducted from an employees’ paycheck for medical, dental, and vision benefits.
“LG Energy Solution is not only paving the path for a more sustainable future through the production of lithium ion batteries for electric vehicles, this move demonstrates our commitment to investing in the futures of our employees and their families,” said LG Energy Solution Michigan President Charles (Oh Young) Hyun. “This is also great for the Michigan economy as LG continues to recruit top talent to support the growing electric vehicle industry and our facility’s expansion in Holland.”
Less than 5% of U.S. employers offer medical coverage with no contributions from employees. These best-in class benefits create a total compensation package that places LG Energy Solution Michigan as one of the highest paying employers in the region. It also results in annual savings for current and future employees.
The annual contribution savings for full-time employees will range from $156 to $2,466, depending upon medical plan elections. The company already offers dental and vision benefits to all full-time employees and their eligible dependents with no employee contributions. 100% company paid health insurance is a new offering for employees in Holland. Employees in Hazel Park and Troy already enjoy this service. Open enrollment is October 17 – November 7.
