To help strengthen the workforce behind the energy transition, LG Energy Solution Michigan is looking beyond its technical capabilities and advanced battery production, strengthening its connection to the local community by supporting team member growth and creating new opportunities. As part of this mission, LG Energy Solution Michigan recently held its first on-site college fair, bridging the gap between industry needs and educational opportunities. This event specifically targeted the company’s current team members to offer them a direct pathway to further education.
Participants were able to identify education options aligned with their career goals and schedules, including certificate programs and degree pathways at the associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s levels, with flexible virtual and self-paced formats available. Twelve Michigan colleges and universities participated including Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids Community College, University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Muskegon Community College, Grand Valley State University, Davenport University, Calvin University, Ferris State University, Michigan Technological University, Baker College, and Central Michigan University.
